What can you do during your stay

If you love to be active on holiday, there is a wealth of choice close by, from enjoying the beaches and local sea pool at Bude, body boarding or surfing at Widemouth Bay, canoeing along the Bude Canal, cycling along the Ruby, Tarka or Camel trails, sailing at Tamar or Roadford Lakes, golf at the numerous nearby courses and sea fishing from the unique and famous Clovelly Village. There are a number of surf schools 20 minutes away at Bude, including the Big Blue Surf School, which has disabled surfing instruction for under 18’s. There are several riding stables nearby if you love anything equestrian.

The spectacular coastline, Southwest Coast Path and beaches of Bude, Widemouth and Crackington Haven are just a short drive away. Or head inland to explore Ruby Country and Dartmoor.

You might enjoy a trip to Port Isaac, home of the popular “Doc Martin” TV series, head down to Padstow to sample the culinary delights of a very famous chef, enjoy crashing waves or glorious sands at Trebarwith Strand (depending on the tide!), take a trip to the Eden Project or The Lost Gardens of
